This video breaks down what hydrostatic pressure is and how it causes water to leak into your basement through cracks in the foundation. Foundational cracks are NOT covered under your homeowners insurance policy and are your responsibility to repair. If your basement continues to leak you need to contact a waterproofing company to address these cracks and examine your drainage system.
